1.Platform Description

BuildFix Mauritius is an online marketplace that helps customers find and connect with independent home and property service professionals in Mauritius (for example plumbers, electricians, cleaners, and contractors).

Customers can submit a service request; BuildFix may recommend a suitable provider based on service type, location, availability, and plan rules. Providers may create profiles, select specialties and areas, and receive job opportunities according to their subscription plan.

2.Marketplace Disclaimer

Important: BuildFix is a marketplace platform only.

• BuildFix connects customers and providers — it is not the contractor performing the work
• BuildFix does not supervise, control, or guarantee the quality, timing, pricing, or outcome of any job
• Customers contract directly with the provider they choose to engage
• Any agreement for services, payment for work, warranties, and on-site conduct is solely between the customer and the provider
• BuildFix is not a party to the service contract between customer and provider

3.Customer Responsibilities

• Provide accurate job details, location, and contact information
• Use the platform in good faith and treat providers respectfully
• Review provider profiles carefully before requesting contact
• Agree payment terms, scope, and timing directly with the provider
• Do not misuse the platform for spam, fraud, or illegal activity

4.Provider Responsibilities

• Provide accurate business and contact information
• Offer only services you are competent and authorised to perform
• Respond professionally to matches and honour commitments you make
• Comply with the Provider Policy and applicable Mauritius laws and licensing rules for your trade
• Do not solicit or divert BuildFix leads in ways that breach platform rules or paid-plan terms
• Keep verification documents truthful and up to date

5.Subscription Plans

Providers may join on Free, Pro, or Company plans. Plan features (such as specialty limits, region coverage, job capacity, and priority matching) are described on the pricing and registration pages and may change with notice.

Paid plans require payment as instructed during registration or upgrade. BuildFix does not take a commission on jobs completed between customers and providers; subscription fees (where applicable) are for platform access and features.

6.Cancellation

Providers may stop using paid features according to the plan terms communicated at signup or in-product. Cancelling or not renewing a paid plan may reduce features to Free-tier limits or deactivate paid benefits.

Customers may stop using the platform at any time. Open service arrangements with providers remain the parties’ responsibility.

7.Suspension

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, the Provider Policy, or applicable law; that submit false information; that abuse matching or messaging; or that create safety or fraud risks. Where practical, we will explain the reason and any path to remediation.

8.Intellectual Property

BuildFix branding, site design, software, and content we publish are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse them without permission.

Providers retain rights to content they upload (such as portfolio photos) and grant BuildFix a licence to display that content on the platform for marketplace purposes.

9.Reviews

If reviews or ratings are enabled, they must be honest and based on real experiences. We may remove reviews that are fake, abusive, discriminatory, or otherwise violate our policies.

10.Liability Limitation

To the fullest extent permitted by Mauritius law, BuildFix is not liable for disputes, damages, losses, injuries, or costs arising from work performed (or not performed) by providers, or from agreements between customers and providers.

The platform is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted access or that every match will result in a completed job.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11.Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Mauritius. Courts of Republic of Mauritius shall have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or use of the platform, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply.
